Heike Beck
and Lucio Stellario Galli migrate to Australia
from Switzerland
and buy themselves a motorhome for private use.

More and
more friends from the “old country” ask to „borrow“ the motorhome. Why not?
They think, could that be our new future? Hiring motorhomes and campervans
to overseas tourists?

Easy Life
Tours & Rentals Australia Pty. Ltd. is established.

|
A second
vehicle is bought for the “fleet”. A second hand Toyota Hi-Ace Van is being
converted by Lucio and Heike. The adventure can really start now.

|
Pia
Etzensperger is one of our first customers. She likes Australia
(and us) that much, she stays. Family and business are extended.

1993
|
Our daughter
Marisa is born and the fleet grows by quite a few Ford Falcon Station
Wagons (GECKO and GOANNA) for the Backpacker market.

1994
|
The demand
increases and we buy some more Toyota Hi-Ace campervans.
Back in Switzerland,
our old friend Yvonne Oldani starts to market our product in her free time.
|
|
1995
|
Our son Luca
is born. Heike and Lucio apply for citizenship and become True Blue
Aussies.
|
|
1997
|
The company
grows and grows. The fleet structure changes from Ford Falcon to more
comfortable Hi-Ace Campervans (WOMBAT). Pia joins the Aussie Clan with her
naturalisation.
The first
4WD Bushkangaroo is commissioned.

1999
|
We extend
our fleet with 4 and 6 berth motorhomes. Our EMU 4 and EMU 6 are born.

2000
|
We are not
totally satisfied with the local motorhome market and decide to build our
own motorhomes. The first Easy Life built EMU 4, based on the IVECO Daily
van, is converted.
Our agent in
Switzerland
expands business and establishes an own company, Easy Life Travel.

2002
|
The market
changes again, the demand for EMU 4 and EMU 6 grows rapidly.
|

2003
|
We build a
few, IVECO based, six berth motorhomes.
|
|
2004
|
Our new EMU
4 is built according to the same pattern as the EMU 6.
The demand
for GECKO and GOANNA literally collapses.
|
|
2005
|
We establish
a new company, Easy Life Motorhomes. Easy Life Motorhomes starts to build not
only for the rental company but for the private sector as well. The aim is
to develop and build custom made products to satisfy the growing Australian
market.
The first,
FIAT Ducato based, 3 berth is built. Our new EMU 3 sets new standards. With
the EasyDoor and the Swingo (2m long bed across the vehicle) this campervan
is unique in the Australian Market.

2006
|
GECKO and
GOANNA are removed from the fleet, and replaced with more EMU 3.

2008
|
A new
vehicle category is introduced:
The first of
our B2B (back to basics) is launched. B2B is a NO FRILLS campervan
aimed at the budget traveller (or family) who needs a reliable vehicle, a
good bed, fridge and kitchenette and good storage capabilities. No more.
